Startup Update – Novapedra
In this exclusive dialogue, Emiliano Altamirano, CEO of Novapedra, a Green Alley Award 2024 finalist, shares some insights on how the startup has been performing since the award ceremony and the potential of their product which re-interprets ceramics by harnessing the natural power of orange peels and other organic waste.
Congratulations on being a finalist of the Green Alley Award 2024! How do you think this has impacted or will impact your company? What changes have you already experienced since the event?
Having been part of the selected group of finalist has added recognition and visibility to our brand. One change experienced is the Brand visibility.
Have you initiated any new partnerships since after participating in the award? If so, can you share more details about them?
We´ve reinforced partnerships that had already been initiated prior to the event.
How do you believe collaboration and partnerships can support the growth and development of your business?
I would say collaboration & partnerships are fundamental. It would help if we had a list of those who attended the event and hence reconnect with them directly. The night of the event was a very hectic night and there was a great interest in our product, however it has been challenging to do a follow up message with those that show interest etc...
What are the next steps, and how do you envision your company's evolution in the coming months/year?
We´re currently establishing partnerships with other companies that are looking to incorporate sustainable products to their offer.
What is one achievement of your company that you would like to share?
We will exceed our expected revenue for this first year in business by 50% with our B2B customer. This is great news for us since we can re-invest that capital and expand our range of products. Until now we´ve been privately funded by the founders, however we´re looking to raise funds by early 2025 to continue growing.
Thank you!!
