Lifesavers carry more than responsibility – Airpaq's ingenious slogan.

Adrian Goosses and Michael Widmann from Germany purchase old airbags, seat belts and belt buckles from the car scrap yard and turn them into functional, robust and extraordinary backpacks. The two founders got to know each other during their studies in Rotterdam and began to produce their first prototypes even before graduation.

It soon became clear that many people were enthusiastic about the upcycled backpacks. The first crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter was more than successful! In 2017, almost 1000 backpacks were delivered to over 35 countries by the German startup.

Things are set to go one step further in 2018: team expansion, new products and the first steps towards entering the retail.
