Celebrating 10 years of the Green Alley Award

Recognizing startups importance for a greener future, ten years ago, Landbell Group founded the Green Alley Award. Its purpose: identify innovative European business ideas that balance economy and ecology in significant ways. This vision became a reality with the launch of our platform, a catalyst for startups, impactful initiatives, and visionary entrepreneurs.

For the past ten years, the Green Alley Award has been the event where passionate young entrepreneurs, dedicated to driving change in the circular economy through sustainable solutions, are recognised.

Established with a vision to distinguish and support startups pioneering circular economy solutions in Europe, the Green Alley Award has played an important role in shaping the future of some of today´s well-stablished companies that started as startups. Through some hours of expert mentoring sessions and networking opportunities the Green Alley Award has empowered startups, enabling them to make a lasting impact on our planet.

This year marks a significant milestone as the Green Alley Award celebrates a decade of investments and innovation dedicated to nurturing young entrepreneurs. Over the past ten years, the Green Alley Award has invested more than €1.3 million in funding, supporting 54 finalists and celebrating the successes of multiple winners from various European countries, including Finland, Germany, Italy, the UK, and Ukraine.

These investments underscore the Green Alley Award's commitment to supporting impactful and scalable solutions.

Last year alone, with more than 330 applications, the Green Alley Award reinforced its role as a crucial stepping stone for innovative startups looking to showcase their sustainable solutions. This growing interest reflects a global commitment to fostering circular economy practices and addressing environmental challenges creatively.

Filipa Moita, Green Alley Award Coordinator, underlines the next steps: “Looking ahead, the Green Alley Award continues its journey with the upcoming public vote, followed by the nomination of the six finalists.
