Its Female Friday!

Today, we’d like to shed the light on female CEOs and their teams. Let’s start by looking at the benefits of female founded companies:

• Startups with mixed founding teams are more successful (higher turnover and return on invest)
• Female led businesses generate higher revenues
• Female founders more often concentrate on sustainable and social business models which are highly relevant for future sustainable and social development

Looking at the numbers, we can see a very encouraging development. Between 2009 and 2019 the number of female founded startups has increased by 10%. 2021 winner traceless materials is proof of that positive uptrend. Founders Anne Lamp and Johanna Baare are extremely successful, they’ve just secured Otto as one of their clients. This year’s Green Alley Award candidates seem to follow in those footsteps. 9 out of our 20 Public Voting startups are female founded: BioFashionTech, ScrapAd, Nazena, MakeGrowLab, Peggada, Gravity Wave, andless, Atelier Riforma, Proservation and Pandobac.
