The Green Alley Award is here to foster and promote a variety of new business ideas in this field. Every month, we open the stage to present our former finalists and winners – the stars of a circular economy in Europe!

 

SULAPAC : Forbes mention 

(2017 Green Alley Award Winner) 

Including the renowned worldwide fashion label Chanel, the Sulapac product is quickly becoming a sought-after style of packaging for makeup and beauty businesses. Now, Forbes mentioned our past 2017 Green Alley Award winner in an article about a new breed of entrepreneurs:  Sulapac knows that products need to stand out and meet demanding technical requirements. To change legislation and make room for environmental innovation, the co-founders of Sulapac will need to forge a new route of entrepreneurial activism. In the past, Sulapac has been ranked one of Europe’s 100 hottest startups by WIRED UK in 2018, 2019 and 2021, and one of the Nordic startups to watch in 2021 by Sifted, backed by the Financial Times.

Sustonable: Finalist in KBIS 2023 

(2017 Green Alley Award Finalist)

Sustonable is one of the finalists of the KBIS 2023 Las Vegas Final Round.KBIS 2023 will include the most cutting-edge goods, significant trends, and educational content. The KBIS event in 2023 will feature a variety of programming intended to highlight the newest design trends and subjects in the kitchen and bath. Sustonable has been selected for its level of design and innovation in the product.  The Sustonable material meets all the requirements to protect the walls of the kitchen, adapting to creative style and with the advantage of being able to put the same design on worktop. Sustonable is one of the most genuinely sustainable and circular surfaces on the market since it can be recycled repeatedly and was made with considerate raw materials and less virgin components.

Kleiderly : Green Product Award

(2021 Green Alley Award Finalist)

We are excited to announce that our Green Alley Award finalist of 2021 has been nominated for the Green Product Award 2023. The international Green Product Award awards products and services excelling in sustainability, innovation and design. We can’t wait for the final outcome! Converting clothing to reduce the world’s fashion footprint is the main aim of Kleiderly. Alina Bassi CEO of Kleiderly holds a first-class master's degree in chemical engineering and has more than seven years of design and construction expertise in facilities that turn trash into fuel or new materials. In addition to promoting different women of color businesses through Founderland, she is an advocate for women in STEM.

Green city solutions: CityBreeze 

(2016 Green Alley Award Winner) 

Our 2016 Green Alley Award Winner is impacting with solutions and caters to its name by providing new innovations. Before Christmas, they installed two CityBreeze in a shopping mall near Berlin to improve heat development and air quality within the building. Moreover, they launched a pilot project in Leipzig for better air and less CO2 and installed the first two digital CityBreeze advertising steles with integrated CO2/air particle filter made of moss. In 2023, the company is looking forward to welcome nine more CityTrees to their fresh air family. They also have a new product, the  Wall breeze, which they will introduce in upcoming new projects. Luckily, Green City Solutions could secure a funding in the fourth quarter of 2022, providing them with the necessary momentum to continue thriving in 2023.

Trustrace: Joining CEO Network 

(2021 Green Alley Award Finalist)

Shameek Ghosh, CEO at TrusTrace will join the SaaSiest CEO Network. He quoted ‘’It is inspiring to be a part of a group of entrepreneurs who are walking on the same road and face similar challenges and leverages.’’ TrusTrace is a B2B SaaS platform helping fashion brands to achieve product traceability and supply chain transparency. This is a red-hot topic because fashion companies are facing intense scrutiny from consumers and regulators across the globe. TrusTrace works with 45+ well-known names in the Fashion industry such as adidas, Fjällraven, Decathlon, Filippa K, Icebug. TrusTrace is HQ in Stockholm with a large setup in Coimbatore, India.

Venvirotech – New opportunities

 (2019 Green Alley Award Finalist)

Our Green Alley Award 2019 finalist was visited by a great team of the Waste Agency of Catalonia. The delegation had a closer look at their VE-box: A portable waste management container that will transform organic waste into biodegradable plastics. Together, they talked about the transformation of milk waste to bioplastic, as well as started to define how the VEnvirotech technology would fit within the framework of current legislation on waste management. Envirotech is a biotechnology startup that produces bioplastics by following three basic principles:,Using bacteria for producing bioplastics, transforming bacteria's bioplastic into sustainable packaging and feeding bacteria with organic waste.
