DIMPORA –  A trip to explore Japanese Market

(2021 Green Alley Award Finalist)

Dimpora recently explored the Japanese market and could meet potential production partners during an internationalisation camp organised by InnoSuisse. During their visit, Dimpora's representatives had the chance to present their technological products to customers and gained valuable knowledge of the Japanese market, learned about the culture, and overcame cultural differences with the help of the Swissnex team in Japan. This key step will allow the company to scale up its production output and market its technology to major sportswear and outdoor clothing brands The products developed by Dimpora are waterproof and breathable membranes free of toxic chemicals for outdoor and sportswear that don't harm the environment.

ECOPLASTEAM: World Star Award 2023

(2018 Green Alley Award Finalist)

With their product EticPack made of EcoAllene, Ecoplasteam has recently won the WorldStar Awards 2023. This international Award recognises the advancements in packaging design and its technological characteristics.heir The aim is to create awareness on the importance of packaging and to recognise the innovation and efforts made from companies, startups, and brands. EticPack is a practical and great example of sustainability. The company’s commitment to innovation and expansion led to a successful collaboration with Unifarco and UNIRED. Together they developed EticPack, a container for cosmetic products which contains 100% recycled materials. As the name suggests, EticPack reflects its ethical and educational nature and is the latest product in the line of new materials developed by Ecoplasteam out of elements of polylaminates PO-AL (plastic-aluminium).

REFURBED: Tech Tour Growth Winner

(2018 Green Alley Award Finalist)

Exciting news from Refurbed! The company has won the Award in the sustainability sector at the Tech Tour Growth Awards: an annual ranking of Europe's top fifty companies with the greatest potential to be valued above € 1 Billion (also known as “unicorn companies”). Moreover, through their LinkedIn page the company let us know to be among the 5% of the top companies in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, according to the Kununu rating for their efforts with their employees. Refurbed looks at the future with enthusiasm and certainty that the team technological advancements in the industry will guarantee growth and success. Refurbed provides a marketplace for refurbished electronic products that meets a set of criteria with regards to safety, quality and warranty. Congratulations to Refurbed on this well-deserved recognition!

REPACK: U.S. Plastics Pact

(2014 Green Alley Award Winner)

Last month, RePack was selected to participate in the U.S. Plastics Pact program called Reuse Catalyst: an important initiative that brings together a wide range of stakeholders to work towards a common goal of a more sustainable world. An important aspect of the event is to raise awareness and to increase society´s will, to reduce the use of single-plastic packaging waste by re-introducing it as a recycled product. Programs like the Reuse Catalyst can connect innovators and broader industry experts to share common knowledge and these events are essential for promoting sustainability. RePack offers a service for online-retail, where packaging is reusable & returnable, and users . It’s wonderful to see businesses like RePack acting towards a more sustainable future!

MIMICA: FoodTech Event

(2016 Green Alley Award Finalist)

Congratulations to this great startup for their participation in the 2022 FoodTech 500 list event and for ranking among the TOP50 in the final ranking. The event showcases the companies working at the intersection of food, technology, and sustainability. Their award-winning product, a temperature-sensitive indicator for food freshness, is called the Bump system. An innovative and smart way to radically reduce unnecessary food waste for households, producers, and retailers. Moreover, Mimica is participating in the third annual #lovefoodhatewaste campaign. The theme for this year's campaign, "Win. Don't Bin!" which highlights the benefits of reducing food waste, both for individuals and the environment. Our 2016 Green Alley finalist has always worked to developed technological products within the packaging and container manufacturing industry.

SULAPAC: New Product Launch

(2017 Green Alley Award Winner)

2023 has been a great year for our 2017 Green Alley Award Winner Sulapac! The company has launched their new product line called Sulapac® Luxe: new sustainable tapware for luxury fragrance made from novel bio-based material. Their main target is the luxury sector which can be challenging to comply with due to their strict plastic criteria but also because it is a difficult task to manufacture high quality products without compromising aesthetics. Moreover, the team will be attending the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna: a beauty trade show that brings together multiple stakeholders and many areas of the beauty industry, form raw material to the finished product. Sulapac is known for their biomaterials that are a great alternative to plastics just made of wood and natural binders.
