Voltfang took home the Green Alley Award 2022!

It’s official: this year’s winner of the Green Alley Award 2022 and a prize money of 25,000 euros is… Voltfang! The startup has convinced our jury and will take home the trophy. Congratulations!

The German startup developed a sustainable energy storage system that also extends the lifecycle of batteries and minimizes the ecological footprint of e-cars. The two co-founders David Oudsandji and Roman Alberti pitched their idea and convinced the expert jury with a persuasive business model paired with a great amount of passion, enthusiasm, and authenticity.

Congratulations to Voltfang!

After two years full of online meetings and events, everyone was happy that the award finally returned to Haus Ungarn this year. Meeting people in real life again, having a chat, enjoying music and a great buffet and, most importantly, seeing at least five finalists live on stage pitching their ideas was a refreshing and exciting experience to all people involved.

Nevertheless, the pandemic also taught us some good things and accelerated the usage of digital tools. That’s why we were able to have a hybrid event and have Flexi-Hex in a live call answering the jury’s questions.

The live pitch was probably even more exciting and special for the finalists. Some of them were founded during the pandemic and had all their first meetings and competitions just online. So did Voltfang. Receiving the trophy David Oudsandji said: “It’s probably the first time we win something and have a live audience and I can’t just mute myself and scream.”

We are excited to see what the future holds for Voltfang and all the other great Green Alley Award finalists Agree, Atelier Riforma, Flexi-Hex, MakeGrowLab and ScrapAd. We wish them all the best!
